FREE Mountain Metro Bus Passes for UCCS Students

Getting around Colorado Springs is easier with Mountain Metro bus passes available through UCCS. Whether you live on campus, commute, or need transportation support, these passes help connect you to campus, work, and the city.

How It Works

  1. Off-Campus Residents
    Request a pass through parking. UCCS housing students, learn more about your pass.
  2. Create an account
    You will receive an email with a link and instructions to create an account. Please note that if you already have an account, you will receive a notification that your account has been registered with the UCCS Pass Program. 
  3. Account Verification
    1. If you already have a RideMMT account: account verification is not required.
    2. If you just created a RideMMT account: you will receive an email with a link to verify your account. Follow the link and the system will confirm your verification.
    3. Once verified, close the webpage. Do not purchase any ticket products. 
  4. Download & Login using credentials you just created.

  5. Add a Travel Token
    1. You can use a mobile barcode travel token, or a MMT Metro Card, or both. Only one Mobile Barcode can be used per account, but you can use up to three Metro Cards per account.
      1. Tap ‘Get started with Tap & Go’ and select ‘With a Mobile Barcode.’ You will be prompted to name the Mobile Barcode to associate it with your device. AND/OR
      2. Tap ‘Get started with Tap & Go’ and select ‘With a Metro Card.’ The app will show instructions for how to find the Metro Card number and add it to your account. You may also call 719-385-7433 for assistance. You will be prompted to name the Metro Card and to enter the verification code on the back of the card on the following screen.
  6. Once you’ve added a Mobile Barcode and/or Metro Card, your MMT pass will be issued to you.
  7. Plan your trip
    View routes and schedules on the Mountain Metro page.
  8. Track buses in real time
    Real-time tracking and trip-planning tools are available through Mountain Metro.
  9. Ride the bus
    1. ​​​​​​​If using a Mobile Barcode, scan your code over the clear glass scanner on the mobile validator when you board.
    2. If using a Metro Card, tap the card over the black square with the ‘contactless’ symbol on the mobile validator when you board.

Campus Stops with Weekend Routes!

Several Mountain Metro routes serve campus, including on weekends. Route 9 stops in front of the Library seven days a week and, on Saturdays and Sundays, also stops at Alpine Garage before heading downtown. 

Route 34 serves campus via new stops on Austin Bluffs Parkway at Clyde Way (eastbound near the CSCS turn and westbound at the Clyde Way campus entrance). Routes 19 and 39 both stop by the ENT Center for the Arts—Route 19 runs to downtown, and Route 39 runs to the Chapel Hills Mall area.
